__Jasta 32 se formó sobre el 14 Diciembre de 1916 en FEA 9, Darmstadt, y estuvo operacional alrededor del 22 Febrero de 1917, bajo el liderazgo del Oblt Heinrich Schwandner a partir de SchutzStaffel 27. Comenzó sus operaciones sobre el 9 de Marzo en el Sector de Armee-Abteilung 'A, volando Roland DIIS,moviéndose a Brulingen en Febrero de1917.

Sobre el 16 de Marzo,tuvieron su primera baja: el CO Schwandner derribado en llamas, probablemente por Lt Francés Albert Deullin, Esc. N 73, y Lt Lothar von Hausen fue muerto, probablemente por otro as Francés bien conocido, Capitaine Georges Guynemer, Esc. N 3.

El Oblt B. Schroeder, de AFP A, tomó el mando hasta el 30 de Junio, cuando el Oblt Otto Schmidt (5 victorias) vino desde Jasta 7 como Staffelfuhrer. El nuevo CO consiguió la primera victoria de la Jasta, su tercera, sobre el 6 de Julio.

De acuerdo con el Ministerio Bávaro Kriegs , Jasta 32 se designó como una unidad Bávara sobre el 17 de Julio. El Oblt Schmidt, que no era Bávaro, fué transferido al mando de la Jasta 29 sobre el 19 de Agosto y reemplazado por el Ltn Hans Auer (3 victorias) desde la Jasta 26.

Por Septiembre Jasta 32b trasladó su base a Boulin Ferme como parte del JagdGruppe"von Braun" (Jastas 13, 14, 16, 21, 22, 23, 32, y 34). Durante Octubre la unidad fué a la 7ª Armada área y sobre el 19 el Oblt Auer, ahora con 5 victorias, fué transferido. Cuatro de días después,el Oblt Eduard von Schleich (25 victorias) llegó a Chéry-les-Pouilly desde la Jasta 21 a tomar el mando.

Sobre el 19 de Noviembre, el Ltn Rudolf Windisch era el primer piloto en conseguir cinco victorias en la Jasta, su sexta en total. Sobre el 10 de Enero de 1918, von Schleich fué transferido a la "Fliegerschule 1" y reemplazado por el Lt Johann Czermak (1 victoria) desde la Jasta 77.

En Marzo, la unidad formó parte de el "JagdGruppe 8", mandado por von Schleich. El CO Czermak fué transferido sobre el 23 de Julio y Ltn Emil Koch le reemplazó. Sobre el 12 de Octubre, la unidad se movió a la 2ª Armada del Frente, permaneciendo allí el resto de la guerra.

Durante ese mes, se creó la "Bávarian JagdGeschwader IV" y la Jasta 32b fué asignada junto a las Jastas 23b, 34b y 35b bajo el mando de von Schleich. El Ltn Koch, ahora con 7 victorias,fué herido por el fuego de tierra en una mision de ataque al suelo el 24 de Octubre. El Ltn Hans Bohning (17 victorias), viniendo de la Jasta 76b, asumió la dirección como el último comandante.

Jasta 32b consiguió por lo menos 41 victorias, incluyendo 4 globos de observacion, Sufriendo 9 muertes y 4 heridos en acción, hicieron un prisionero, y 5 muertos y 2 heridos en accidentes.

La mayoría de su Albatros exploraradores, Fokker DrIs y Fokker DVIIs llevaban las cubiertas de motor azul Bávaro y, durante Septiembre y Octubre de 1917, los Albatros DVs llevaron colas negras.

In accordance with Bavarian Kriegs Ministerium, Jasta 32 was designated a Bavarian unit on 17 July. Oblt Schmidt, who was not a Bavarian, was transferred to the command of Jasta 29 on 19 August and replaced by Ltn Hans Auer (3 victories) from Jasta 26.

On 19 November, Ltn Rudolf Windisch was the first pilot to score five victories in the Jasta, his sixth overall. On 10 January 1918, von Schleich was transferred to Fliegerschule 1 and replaced by Lt Johann Czermak (1 victory) from Jasta 77.

On March, the unit was part of JagdGruppe 8, commanded by von Schleich. CO Czermak was transferred on 23 July and Ltn Emil Koch was named as his replacement.

On 12 October, the unit moved to the 2 Armee Front, staying there for the rest of the war.

During that month, Bavarian JagdGeschwader IV was created and Jasta 32b was assigned with Jastas 23b, 34b and 35b under the command of von Schleich.

Ltn Koch, now with 7 victories, was wounded by ground fire while on a strafing mission on 24 October. Ltn Hans Bohning (17 victories), from Jasta 76b, took over as the last commander.

Jasta 32b scored at least 41 victories, including 4 ballons, while losing 9 killed and 4 wounded in action, one taken prisoner, and 5 killed and 2 injured in accidents.

Most of his Albatros scouts, Fokker DrIs and Fokker DVIIs were carrying "Bavarian blue" engine covers and Set, Oct 1917, the Alby DV were carrying blach tails.lOctober 1917, Albatross DVs had black tails.
