Server setup

Copy the server file from your RB3d CD into your Sierra/RB3D folder

Or download one of the pre made server setups from Wings-of-Valor.org

Create a short cut to the server exe file. Either on your desktop or in start menu.

Edit the server ini to what ever you would like Melle, Tm Mellee Island NFM etc You will need to change the properties of the file to Archive from read only to save your changes.

Edit the server scs file to what ever settings you would like. Chat logging takes up a lot of space and bandwidth!

An easier route would be to download one of the server managers from WOV.

COOKIES

You will need to add the cookies 1007 and 1007d. You just need to type them in the same as the ones that are already there in the configuration settings and save. If you don't add the cookies only the people without the 1078 patch will be able to see it.

Technical issues

DSL

If you have regular DSL your server may not be visible to anybody but you. Check on one of the WON launcher sites to see if the server IP is the same as your NIC card IP and not the ISP IP.

PPPOE  DSL seems to have less problems with this than regular DSL.

You may need to either disable your firewall or edit its preferences to allow for the server to work.

VIRUS SCANNERS

Are not know to cause problems but if your server isn't working it would be the first thing I try disabling.

ROUTERS

Once again like DSL no one maye be able to see your server because of IP masking.

NETWORKS

If your server is running from a client and not the host you may end up with the IP masquing problem once again.

DNS2GO

I tried this. It didn't work unfortunately.

SERVER KEY STROKES

These can been seen on the opening screen of the server.

Since your server runs under DOS it's best to shut down using the proper commands or the titan server won't remove your server promptly.

Type these in somewhat slowly for consistent results

Shut down-quit()

Eject someone-eject("name") Has to be exact sometimes a person will add a space at the end to fool you.
